The following are typical care duties performed by the sitter:
Provide the proper and precise amount of food for your cat (including any supplements or other dietary additives)
Completely clean water bowls and refill from preferred source (tap, filtered, bottled)
Scoop litter boxes and change out the litter when necessary, and dispose of litter bags in outside trash bin
Administer proper and precise amount of medication at the required time of day, whether the medication be oral liquid, pills, insulin or subcutaneous injections, topical ointments and flea meds, eye drops, or other type
Clean up any accidents from your cat, such as vomited food or hairballs, litter box aversion, and other messes
Socialize with your cat, whether that be through playtime with their favorite toy, brushing, petting, lap sitting, or any other activity your cat loves most to engage in
Monitor and maintain the security of your home by locking all doors and windows, setting the home alarm, and adjusting lights, shades and windows to give your home a ‘lived-in’ appearance.
Send daily visit update reports via text, email, or phone, letting you know how things went during the visit, mentioning such topics as your cat’s appetite, mood, and energy level, litter box usage, activities engaged in with your cat, and any issues, concerns, and questions that arose during the visit.
Perform other minor home-related tasks such as plant watering, retrieving mail and packages, and putting trash bins to curb for street pickup.
